Ratings

TVTally lets you rate at three levels — individual episodes, whole seasons, and whole shows — all on a half-star scale.

Rating episodes

Episode ratings come from your diary: when you Log watch an episode, the star rating you give is that episode's rating. Log it again to record a different rating for a rewatch. See Your diary.

Rating shows and seasons

Open a show (or one of its seasons) and use the star row near the top:

• Tap a star — or half-star — to set your score.
• Tap your current score again, or clear it, to remove the rating.

Show and season ratings are your own overall verdict; they're separate from the per-episode ratings in your diary.

Half-stars

The picker works in half-star steps, from ½ to 5 stars — so you can be as precise as you like.

Syncing to TMDB

If you connect a TMDB account, TVTally can push your ratings to TMDB automatically — episodes, seasons, and shows — and keep them in sync when you change or clear a rating.

To turn this on, go to Settings → TMDB, enable Push ratings to TMDB, add your TMDB API key, and connect your account. Full steps in Your account.

Syncing is entirely optional. Without it, your ratings simply stay in TVTally.
