Your account

Manage your account from the Settings area. It's split into a few pages.

Profile

Settings → Profile holds:

  • Username — shown at the top, read-only. Your username is set once when your account is created and can't be changed (it's what you log in with).
  • First name and Last name — edit these freely; they're how your name appears around the app.
  • Email — used for password resets and account notifications.

Avatar

Settings → Avatar lets you upload a picture (PNG, JPEG, or WebP). After choosing a file you can crop it to a square before saving. Remove it any time to fall back to your initials.

TMDB

Settings → TMDB connects TVTally to your account on The Movie Database so your ratings can sync there:

  1. Turn on Push ratings to TMDB.
  2. Enter your TMDB API key.
  3. Click Connect to TMDB and approve access.

Once connected, ratings you make in TVTally are pushed to TMDB automatically (see Ratings). Disconnect, or clear the key, to stop syncing. This is optional — TVTally works fully without it.

Security

Settings → Security is where you change your password and set up extra protection:

  • Two-factor authentication (2FA) — a code from an authenticator app on top of your password.
  • Passkeys — sign in with your device's fingerprint, face, or PIN instead of a password.
